To sign up online, please go to the Course Schedule and click on the course date that you are applying.

a. Next, fill in the Electronic Application Form.

b. A confirmation letter will be sent to you by Email within 2 weeks.

NOTE: If you are using SPAM filtering in your Email program, please make sure that put the email <regsg43@osware.net> under the exclude or non-SPAM list.

How to apply: - Download and fill in the student application form in English from the International Vipassana website or Bilingual (English/Mandarin) from the International Chinese website.  For faster confirmation and processing time, the preferred method is the above Online Web Application.

B) Together with a stamped and self-addressed 4” x 9” envelope to the mailing address of Vipassana International (Singapore) below.

 

 

Confirmation for Application
A confirmation letter cum instructional list shall be sent to all successful applicants.

What to bring?

 

Bedding: The campsite will provide one set of bed linens and blanket. However, you may bring an additional set. 

Clothing: Bring enough comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for ten days as only minimal hand washing facilities are available. Rain gear is necessary (umbrella, raincoat). 

Toiletries: Towel, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, unscented deodorant, toilet rolls, shaving and sanitary supplies, etc. Please do not use scented perfumes or shaving lotions. 

Utensils: Bring your own plate, soup bowl, cup and spoon/fork and a small napkin to cover these after meals. Empty bottle for carrying water. 

Other Items: Torchlight and batteries, mosquito repellent, liquid laundry soap. Medicines prescribed by your doctor.

 

What NOT to bring?

  • mobile phones 
  • books, writing materials, radios, tape recorders, cameras, etc 
  • food (Simple vegetarian meal will be provided) 
  • revealing clothing (inc. shorts, singlets, brief tops, bike pants, 3/4 pants, leggings without knee-length covering) 
  • tobacco, alcohol, sleeping pills, tranquillizers or any other sedatives, or illegal drugs 
  • furs or animal skins, either as clothing or rugs 
  • crystals, talismans, rosaries or other religious objects 
  • jewellery or valuables (facilities are provided for safekeeping of money during the course) 

 

NOTE: Please ensure that you have carefully read Vipassana Meditation - Introduction and Code of Discipline.It must be clearly understood that you will have to stay within the course boundaries until the course ends.
